Several additional restrictions will be in effect on Route 28 this week, according to PennDOT.

An outbound lane closure is planned in the area of the Hulton Bridge, between Powers Run and Guys Run roads from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Friday as crews install a utility pole.

On the inbound side, a lane will be closed between the 31st Street Bridge and East Ohio Street starting at 8 p.m. daily through Thursday, with restrictions lifted by 5 a.m. Crews will take core samples.

Outbound traffic will be limited to one lane near the 31st Street Bridge starting from 8 p.m. today until 5 a.m. Tuesday for installation of an overhead sign. That is in additional to the long-term single-lane pattern that is in effect around the clock from Chestnut Street to just south of the bridge.
