Some parents of children at Franklin Elementary School told members of the North Allegheny School Board Wednesday that they oppose plans to redistrict students out of the school.

The district is considering three scenarios to move students out of Franklin, which is overcrowded, to other buildings. The ripple effect will move students to Peebles and Hosack, which are underutilized.

"If there is not enough space, just build on to the schools," said Saadia Khan Gosalia.

Parent Cara Tripoli asked that, if redistricting is necessary, the board choose the option that moves the least number of children.
