Route 28 northbound has reopened two hours after a disabled tractor trailer caused major traffic delays this afternoon, an Allegheny County emergency dispatch supervisor said.

Delays occurred near the Highland Park Bridge around 3:45 p.m. Pennsylvania State Police from the Kittanning barracks were at the scene.

About two tons of steel coil fell off the tractor trailer, KDKA-TV reported.
