COMMUNITY FORUM

McCandless -- Pittsburgh North People for Peace and the North Hills Anti-Racism Coalition will co-sponsor a forum, "Are Corporations People?" at 3 p.m. Sunday at Kearns Spirituality Center, 9000 Babcock Blvd. Marcia Bandes of the Move to Amend Pittsburgh Affiliate will talk about court precedent that has given corporations constitutional rights originally intended solely for humans. Discussion will focus on how this affects our democracy and daily lives and how to bring about change. The forum is free and open to the public. Information: 412-367-0383 or pnpp@verizon.net.

HEALTH

Richland -- Patrizia Guerrieri, radiation oncologist at West Penn Hospital, will give a free talk on "Understanding Breast Cancer" at 1:30 p.m. May 29 at Hilltop Hall, The Village at St. Barnabas, 5850 Meridian Road. Dr. Guerrieri's talk will focus on breast cancer signs, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment options. Information: 724-443-7231.

McCandless -- North Hills Genealogists will meet at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at Northland Public Library, 300 Cumberland Road. Club member W. Douglas Drumheller will present "A Man And His Camera," the story of Richard Geiselhart, a Pittsburgh lawyer who served during WWII. While in Germany, Mr. Geiselhart and three friends purchased Leica cameras. Years later, his nephew inherited the camera and an envelope of information, and the information turned out to be more valuable than the camera. SPECIAL INTEREST

Baden -- Penn State Extension will hold a workshop on interpreting water test results May 30 at Butler County Community College in Room 202 of the Public Safety Training Facility. The program will be presented twice, from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Participants will learn about water test reports, drinking water standards and more. The workshop is free.
