North Allegheny

Kindergarten registration for children who will be 5 years old by Sept. 1 will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and 1:30 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at each elementary school in the district and from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Marshall and McKnight elementary schools. The evening program will accept registration for all schools.

Registration information and packets are available on the district's website, http://www.northallegheny.org.

Parents need to bring the registration packet, the child's birth certificate, immunization records, two proofs of residency and medical and dental forms.

Parents may come to any elementary building to register their child and may indicate a preference for morning or afternoon sessions, although the assignment will be made by principals based on class-size guidelines and the preferences marked on the registration forms. If the principal cannot assign all students to their parents' preferred kindergarten session, a lottery will be conducted in that building for the morning and afternoon sections.
