The Allegheny County Parks Department this afternoon announced that family, individual and senior pool passes are now available for purchase at the Boyce, North, Settler's Cabin and South park administration offices.
And starting next Monday, the passes will also be available for purchase at all four county pools.
The fee schedule is as follows: $110 for a family of four --- two parents and two children or one parent and three children --- and $15 for each additional family member. An individual pass will cost $60; $30 for seniors 60 years of age and older; and $20 to replace a lost or stolen pass.
County officials say each family member must be present at the time of the application to receive individual photo identification passes. A valid form of identification, like a driver's license and or state identification card will be required. In addition, proof of Allegheny County residency must be provided at the time of application.
Applicants must make their payment in full, and only cash, check or money orders will be accepted.
The passes will provide access to county swimming facilities Mondays through Fridays except on Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day. This year, the county pools will be open from June 6 through Sept. 7, weather and other conditions permitting.
Hours of operation are 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily. And if a pool does not open by 2 p.m. due to inclement weather, it will remain closed for the rest of the day.
