A three-year-old boy hit Friday by a vehicle in Dale, in Cambria County, has died, according to a state police release.

The crash occurred when "the pedestrian ran out into the path" of a 2008 Saturn Aura on David Street, according to the release. Medics took the boy to Conemaugh Hospital, and Coroner Jeffrey Lees pronounced him dead late Friday afternoon.

Accident reconstruction was completed and the investigation is ongoing, according to the release. The driver, a 27-year-old man from Johnstown, has not been charged to date.
