Driver charged in fatal DUI crash in Indiana County

An Indiana County man today was charged with third-degree murder in connection with a drunken-driving crash that killed a woman and seriously injured her husband.

State police said Scott Kenneth Esteb, 39, of Homer City, was charged with vehicular homicide, DUI and other offenses in the March 27 crash in Center, Indiana County, that killed 75-year-old Madeline Louise Ralston and injured John Nesbit Ralston, 79.

The crash occurred as Mr. Esteb was pulling out of a parking lot along Route 119 and smashed nearly head-on into the Clymer couple as they drove north.
