U.S. marshals today arrested a man who police have been searching for since they say he shot and killed a man during a fight at a Rankin bar a year ago.

Officers found Darryl Reaves, 35, at 2:40 p.m. at a home in the 2200 block of Hawthorne Street in Swissvale, the U.S. Marshals Service said in a press release. When Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force officers entered the home, Mr. Reaves tried fleeing through the back door and then out a second floor window before being arrested, marshals said.

Marshals said Tyrone Milton, 50, of Braddock, was hit by an "errant bullet" at 12:40 a.m. April 6, 2013, during a fight at Deb's Place, 15 Miller Ave. Milton died at 6:30 p.m. that day at UPMC Presbyterian, the Allegheny County medical examiner's office said.

An arrest warrant for Mr. Reaves was obtained April 11, 2013, and charged him with homicide, attempted homicide, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and a firearms violation.

Mr. Reaves is being held at the Allegheny County Jail and faces a preliminary hearing April 9, according to the jail and court records.
