Monroeville man dead after early-morning crash

A Monroeville man was pronounced dead following an early-morning crash Saturday, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office.

KDKA-TV says James Sales, 54, was injured around 1:35 a.m. when his car and another vehicle collided at the intersection of Route 22 and Duff Road. He died at Forbes Regional Hospital about an hour later.

There is no word yet on the condition of the second driver or on the cause of the crash.
