A bicyclist did not try to kill a pickup truck driver when he shot him last year in an incident fueled by road rage, a jury found yesterday.

The jury of seven women and five men, however, found Robert Urick, 42, guilty of aggravated assault in the March 7, 2004, confrontation with truck driver William Nicoletti, 52.

Urick, of Monroeville, also was found guilty of carrying a firearm without a license.

Assistant District Attorney Ed Scheid had argued that Urick tried to kill Nicoletti, having fired at least two more rounds after wounding the driver in the arm.

Urick will be sentenced May 9 by Common Pleas Judge Lawrence J. O'Toole.
