Two Pittsburgh-area men are in custody in Clarion County after state troopers said they bought heroin from them in an undercover operation.

Charles Townsend, 20, of Penn Hills, and Duane Moore III, 24, of Pittsburgh, were arraigned last night on drug distribution charges and held in the Clarion County Jail, each on a $50,000 cash bond.

State police, working with local officers as part of a Clarion county drug team, set up the undercover buy yesterday in the Clarion Mall parking lot. Troopers said the men delivered 10 stamp bags, then drove to the Super 8 motel in Monroe, where they were taken into custody.

Police said they found another 36 heroin bags at the hotel, along with cash.
