A customer apparently foiled an armed robbery at a Carrick gas station on Friday night, according to Pittsburgh police.
The incident happened at 8:30 p.m. at the CoGo’s located at 2800 Brownsville Road.
Sonya Toler, a spokeswoman for the city's public safety department, said the suspect entered the store, pointed a black, semi-automatic pistol at the clerk, and demanded money.
However, after a customer entered, the robber ran from the store without any money, Ms. Toler said.
The suspect is described as a white man who is between 25 to 30 years old. He is 5'9" and was wearing dark clothing and a dark ski mask.
Police continue to investigate.
