A car crashed through a guardrail and dropped about 30 feet down a hillside in Mount Washington this afternoon.
Pittsburgh public safety spokeswoman Sonya Toler said the car plunged down the hill about 12:45 p.m., after the white sedan’s 25-year-old driver might have fallen asleep at the wheel on the 1700 block of Grandview Avenue.
The man escaped from the car himself, and emergency services helped him climb the steep hill. He was taken to UPMC Mercy for treatment of minor injuries, Ms. Toler said.
