Peduto to participate in 'Ask Me Anything' online forum Thursday evening with department heads

Mayor Bill Peduto will take part in an "Ask Me Anything" online forum Thursday evening billed as the first of its kind for, a news, entertainment and social networking site.

To ask questions or follow the action, go to between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

The mayor will field questions and route them to department directors and chiefs for follow-up answers from a computer-training room on the sixth floor of the City-County Building on Grant Street.

Mr. Peduto participated in a forum a year ago when he was running for mayor,

"According to Reddit, this local government AMA with representatives from each major department participating is a first for the 9-year-old social networking and news site," the mayor's office said in a news release.

The online forum is the latest in a series of public events by Mr. Peduto to field questions and solicit input from Pittsburghers, joining "Mayor's Night Out" meetings in Beltzhoover and Perry North and a pair of "Mayor's Night In" events in his office Downtown.
