Pittsburgh's light rail service resumes after barge hit the Panhandle Bridge this morning

The Port Authority’s light rail system, commonly known as the T,  has resumed regular service at 6:20 a.m. this morning after a river barge hit a pier that supports the Panhandle Bridge, Port Authority said. 

Engineers inspected the damage and said it was not significant enough to keep the bridge closed.
