A driver of a stolen car led police on a chase through the North Side and West End Monday night before being stopped and arrested on the South Side, police said.

Howard Morris, 32, attempted a robbery at a North Side laundromat before trying to flee. The chase began on the North Side near East Ohio Street and Madison Avenue.  Morris drove a silver Chevy Cobalt that was reported stolen from a Bellevue car dealership last week. No firearms were found, police said.

Morris was stopped by spike strips laid on West Carson Street near the Highmark Stadium.
