Pittsburgh police arrested two men Thursday after they were found carrying marijuana, 125 bricks of heroin and more than $5,000 cash in their vehicle.

Carlos White Jr., 26, of Kilbuck and Natel Walker, 27, of Corliss were in the Allegheny County Jail this evening with bond set at $25,000 and $20,000, according to court records.

The suspects were stopped around 11:49 a.m. on the 900 block of Grandview Avenue on Mount Washington after their vehicle went through a stop sign, a police report said. Police said Mr. White pushed one officer and threw his elbow at another before he ran from the vehicle.

He also grabbed an officer’s baton after a two-block foot chase, the report stated.

Mr. Walker faces drug charges along with traffic violations. Mr. White faces charges including three aggravated assault charges against officers, a felony charge of disarming an officer and felony drug charges.

Both men are to appear in court June 5.
