Police arrest two men for drugs after traffic stop on Mount Washington

Pittsburgh police arrested two men Thursday after they were found carrying marijuana, 125 bricks of heroin and more than $5,000 cash in their vehicle.

Carlos White Jr., 26, of Kilbuck and Natel Walker, 27, of Corliss were in the Allegheny County Jail this evening with bond set at $25,000 and $20,000, according to court records.

The suspects were stopped around 11:49 a.m. on the 900 block of Grandview Avenue on Mount Washington after their vehicle went through a stop sign, a police report said. Police said Mr. White pushed one officer and threw his elbow at another before he ran from the vehicle.

He also grabbed an officer’s baton after a two-block foot chase, the report stated.

Mr. Walker faces drug charges along with traffic violations. Mr. White faces charges including three aggravated assault charges against officers, a felony charge of disarming an officer and felony drug charges.

Both men are to appear in court June 5.
