A trucker who failed to stop after a woman was hit by another car and then his vehicle was found guilty Friday of failing to stop at the scene of an accident involving death.

Brian Jamieson, 62, of Niagara Falls, Ontario, will be sentenced by Common Pleas Judge Thomas E. Flaherty on July 11.

According to assistant district attorney Kevin Chernosky, he could face a mandatory minimum of one year in jail.

Mr. Jamieson’s nonjury trial before Judge Flaherty began on Wednesday.

Judith Kollar, 53, of West Mifflin died shortly after she was struck by three vehicles as she tried to cross Smallman Street at 14th in the crosswalk the morning of Dec. 11, 2012.

Judge Flaherty revoked Mr. Jamieson’s bond and had him taken into custody, but he said if the man can establish a residence in Pittsburgh pending sentencing, he would allow him to be released on home electronic monitoring.
