Two children fall from windows in unrelated incidents

Two children fell from second-story windows today in unrelated incidents in Pittsburgh, police said.

Pittsburgh police are investigating a report that 4-year-old child fell two stories from a Larimer home this afternoon.

Police from the city's Zone 5 station in Highland Park were called to a home in the 300 block of Mayflower Street shortly after 2:30 p.m. The child was conscious and breathing when medics took him for treatment, police spokeswoman Sonya Toler said.

A second 4-year-old fell from a second-story window around 6 p.m. at a home on Penn Avenue in Mt. Oliver, KDKA-TV reported. The child was transported to the hospital in serious condition.
