Swinburne Street in South Oakland will be closed at least until the end of Monday morning rush hour as the city attempts to clear a landslide that occurred this morning.

Pittsburgh public works crews need to get a crane into the area near the steep hillside to try to remove the dirt from the roadway, city spokesman Tim McNulty said.

The street will be closed between Greenfield Avenue and Parkview Avenue. It is a popular commuter cut-through from Greenfield into Oakland.
