Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 1 in Pittsburgh named new leaders tonight.

Howard McQuillan was elected president, defeating Greg Kalogeris and Daniel O'Hara, said current president Mike LaPorte.

Sgt. LaPorte will help ease the transition in the role of immediate-past president and will also hold one of three trustee positions. Vice President Michael Benner will also move into a trustee position.

Of about 1,800 FOP members, 780 cast ballots, which Sgt. LaPorte said was an average turnout.

The board will be sworn in March 20. Along with 36 delegates, other incoming board members are:

Recording secretary -- Richard Ruffolo

Financial secretary -- Jeanie White Swanson

Treasurer -- Kim Sweeney

Sergeant at arms -- Jeffrey McCoy

Trustee -- Andrew Baker
