University of Pittsburgh move-in days to close Oakland streets

The University of Pittsburgh is warning drivers to watch out for heavy traffic when it closes a number of streets in Oakland while students move in.

The closures will happen between Aug. 17 and 25, according to a news release, and will cause heavy traffic on Forbes and Fifth avenues.

The closures are as follows:

Bigelow Boulevard between Forbes and Fifth Avenues: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 19; from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 20 and 21; and from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Aug. 22.

Lothrop Street: from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 21-23.

University Place: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 19-21, and from 9 a.m to 3 p.m Aug. 22 and 23.

The Schenley Quadrangle: August 17-25.
