Road construction on Warrington Avenue in the city's Allentown section will enter a new phase today, Port Authority announced.

Crews will shift from the inbound side of the street to the outbound side between Beltzhoover and Arlington avenues, but the traffic pattern will not change, with inbound traffic maintained on Warrington and outbound traffic detoured via Industry Street.

Elsewhere on Warrington, an alternating one-way pattern was to begin today at the Haberman Avenue intersection in Beltzhoover. That restriction is scheduled to continue around the clock into Friday afternoon or evening. Haberman will be closed between Kingsboro and Climax streets during the same time, as will the Haberman busway ramp.

Bus route detours will change on the 43 Bailey, 44 Knoxville, 48 Arlington and 54 North Side-Oakland-South Side routes. Details are available at www.portauthority.org.

The reconstruction project is scheduled for completion in mid-September.
