Two pedestrians and a driver were injured in a Point Breeze crash tonight.

An emergency dispatch supervisor said the crash occurred in the 7300 block of Penn Avenue about 8 p.m. The road remained closed in both directions between South Lexington and North Braddock avenues two hours later.

The dispatch supervisor said initial reports indicated that one of the pedestrians was in critical condition while the other appeared to have been grazed by the car. The driver was also injured and was expected to survive. All three were taken to local hospitals.

Police are investigating the possibility that the two pedestrians, who had just left the Evergreen Cafe, might have been intoxicated. They said the driver did not immediately appear to have been speeding or under the influence of any drugs.
