Police said a chase ended this morning when the driver slammed a stolen car into a stone wall in Troy Hill.

The hour-long joy ride started about 5 a.m. in McKees Rocks, when an employee for CommTrans, which provides rides for the elderly and the disabled, left the car unlocked and running outside of the company's dispatch center on River Road, said McKees Rocks police Chief Robert Cifrulak. A man jumped in and drove away.

The company tracked the car to Reserve using the vehicle's GPS and notified Reserve and Pittsburgh police. Reserve police spotted the car and attempted to pull it over, but it sped away, leading them on a chase through Troy Hill. The car ultimately crashed into a wall on a dead-end section of Lowrie Street.

The extent of the driver's injuries was not known.
