Police seek public's help in Hill District homicide investigation

Pittsburgh police are asking the public's help in identifying possible suspects in Monday's homicide in the Hill District.

Detectives have surveillance video of individuals getting out of a vehicle in the 2400 block of Chauncey Drive and are seeking help in identifying them. Police said Edward Sanders, 47,was shot in the head on a walkway in the 2400 block of Bedford Avenue at 9:48 p.m.

Police said Mr. Sanders was walking when he got into an argument with several men near the steps that lead to Bedford Avenue. During the confrontation, a man walked up behind Mr. Sanders and shot him in the head, police said. The suspect ran through the courtyard onto Chauncey Drive.
