Three men arrested for child pornography

Amid a statewide effort targeting the sharing, downloading and distribution of online child pornography, three local men were arrested this week, Attorney General Kathleen Kane said.

Registered sex offender Anthony Osche, 23, of Butler was arrested Thursday after a search of his computer yielded about 800 videos of child pornography, the attorney general said. He has been charged with 30 counts of possession of child pornography, five counts of distribution of child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility.

The attorney general said Osche faces a 25-year prison sentence, if convicted. He is being held in the Butler County Prison on $200,000 bail.

Stephen Umpirowicz, 57, of Evans City was arrested Thursday after 23 photos of child pornography were discovered on his computer, the attorney general said. He faces 23 counts of possession of child pornography, two counts of distribution of child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility, and he is also being held in the Butler County Prison on $200,000 bail.

John Marinim, 22, of Baldwin was arrested today and charged with five counts of possession of child pornography, five counts of distribution of child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility.

Their arrests were not connected.
