GIRARD, Pa. -- A northwestern Pennsylvania teen is dead following a car crash just a few hours after he graduated from high school.

The Erie Times-News reports 18-year-old Brandon Nicosia died early today when the car he was riding in ran off the road and rolled over in Girard, near Erie.

Investigators have charged the driver, 21-year-old David DeHaven II, with vehicular homicide, drunk driving and driving without a license. Police say Mr. Nicosia was ejected from the car and became trapped beneath it.

Mr. Nicosia had graduated with his Girard High School classmates a few hours before the crash.

Mr. DeHaven is jailed in lieu of $125,000 bail.
