Pair arrested after drug bust in Lawrenceville

Police executing a search warrant in Lawrenceville arrested two people after finding guns, drugs, a digital scale and cash in their Berlin Way rowhouse.

Monte Griffin, 34, and Teria Medley, 35, both face charges of conspiracy, drug possession, possession with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both are prohibited from prohibited from possessing weapons because they are convicted felons and will be charged with violation of the Uniform Firearms Act. Mr. Griffin will also be charged with resisting arrest.

Undercover officers from Zone 2 executed the warrant at around 5 p.m., said Officer William Churilla. There, they found Ms. Medley and Mr. Griffin sitting in the living room. Mr. Griffin bolted out the back door and tried to jump the fence, but then turned around and tried to hit an officer, police said.

In the home they discovered 8 ounces of marijuna, 250 stamp bags of heroin, a digital scale, more than $300 in cash, ammunition and handguns.

Both were scheduled to be arraigned at 3 a.m. Friday.
