Body found floating in Little Pine Creek

Police are investigating a body found floating in Little Pine Creek, 100 feet from the Allegheny River, after a fisherman encountered it and notified authorities just after noon Saturday.

River rescue, fire, and police teams are on the scene and Allegheny County homicide has been dispatched, said Amie Downs, a spokeswoman for the county.

Railroad service on the Norfolk Southern tracks near the site in Etna has been suspended.
