Allegheny County police said today they have obtained an arrest warrant for a 53-year-old man wanted in an armed bank robbery in Edgewood this weekend.

The warrant charged Ricardo Nevel, who police said is seen often in Edgewood and Wilkinsburg, with robbing the First Commonwealth Bank at 1105 S. Braddock Ave. about 9:15 a.m. Saturday. County police said he made off with $500 cash before running away.

Though he didn't show the gun during the robbery, police said bank employees reported what they believed was a gun in his pocket.

County police asked anyone with information to call 412-473-3000.
