A Larimer man accused of killing a man in Carrick last month was held for court on all charges at a preliminary hearing today.

Loc "Mike" Vong, 22, walked into a Pittsburgh police station Nov. 25, handed an officer a plastic bag containing a gun and said, "I am the shooter ... from the night before," according to court documents.

Police said Mr. Vong shot Michael Palombia, 18, of Mount Washington, outside the Brownsville Inn in Carrick early that Monday morning, Surveillance footage shows they were together in the bar for several hours, police said.

Mr. Palombia had been dating a woman Mr. Vong used to date.

Mr. Vong was ordered to stand trial on one count of homicide and a gun violation and remains in the Allegheny County Jail without bail.

His attorney, Patrick Thomassey, did not immediately return a message.
