The driver of an SUV died Sunday after rear-ending a PennDOT snow plow truck on Interstate 79 in Mercer County, Pennsylvania State Police said.

State police and the Mercer County coroner have yet to release the name of the driver whose Chevrolet Tahoe drove into the southbound plow just after 7 p.m.

SUV crashed into the plow at mile marker 119 in Findley.

Troopers said the vehicle caught fire and spun around after rear-ending the plow. A deputy coroner pronounced the driver dead at the scene.

State police said the PennDOT driver wasn’t hurt.
