The Place: St. Clair Country Club, Upper St. Clair, Friday night
The Purpose: To benefit St. Clair Hospital
The Party: The 19th annual Summer Swing — Passport to the World, presented by the St. Clair Hospital Foundation — was a blowout bash for nearly 600 guests who came to eat, drink and be merry, and shop the ample silent auction. “It’s shocking how many people come out on a summer night in July to support the hospital,” said a delighted Vicki McKenna, event chair (with Mark). “I think people like the different themes and they really enjoy the many food stations,” she added. A German Beirgarten was set up on the outdoor patio, while in the main ballroom was the Italian bistro with an opera singer entertaining. There was also a Spanish Tapas bar and a Taste of Asia station. As for desserts, it was a French bakery serving macarons and more. The party was a gourmand’s global dream.
The People: Circulating, sipping and savoring were Dr. Wayne and Beth Evron, Billy Hartung, St. Clair Hospital CEO Jim Collins with Lori, hospital board chair David Heilman with Sharon, Joanne and Rick Chesnos, Veronica and Lou Guarino, Rose Kutsenkow, Dr. Jason and Katherine Biggs, Lynn and Joe Smith, Tricia and Bob Hammel, Dr. Tara Grahovac with Erik, Dr. Nina Fatigati with Dr. Christopher Pray, Wendy and Steve Denenberg, Katie and Dan Caste, Mel Rex, Marylynn and Doug Heuck, Mike and Joanna Flanagan and Dolores and Michael Kara.
