The Place: The Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh hotel, Downtown, Saturday night.
The Purpose: The 61st annual Pittsburgh CLO Ball, Razzle Dazzle ’Em!
The Party: The Jazz Age was all the rage with guests getting into the theme from sipping the Bee’s Knees (a gin concoction) cocktail to dressing flapper-style. Looking like they stepped out of the pages of “The Great Gatsby” were guild chair Patti Matty Blenko (with Walter) and guild president Kristen Matty Lane (with Mark) as well as event chairs Laurie and Rich Mushinsky and Heidi and Joseph Orlando. Many of the guests got into the spirit. The traditional pink box sales and silent auction kept everyone busy during the cocktail reception before dinner and CLO entertainment. Being honored with the CLOE Award for community service were Kathy and Joe Guyaux.
The People: Enjoying the theatrics and the sounds of Finesse were CLO executive producer Van Kaplan with Mary Jane Brennan, Debby and Dan Booker, pink box chair Helen Wylie, Sandy and Bill Lambert, Chris and Tom Kobus, Shelly and Dan Onorato, Richard Rauh, Arlene and Barry Sokolow, Dr. Ron and Judy Linaburg, David Bush and Tim McVay and Pam and Ken McCrory.
