Carabella event raises funds for Alzheimer's research

When, where, why: Carabella Oakmont transformed Allegheny River Boulevard on Friday with its ninth annual fashion show to support the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Pennsylvania Chapter. “I have a personal connection to this disease, and it is so important that we find a cure so that other families can have hope,” said Carol Kinkela, owner of Carabella.

Fashion flurry: Sally Wiggin emceed the night as models sashayed down the runway, decked out in fall’s latest fashions from both Carabella and designer Kiya Tomlin, who said, “I’m here because of Carol, because of her generous spirit. I’d do anything for her.”

#SEEN among an estimated 350 partygoers: Jim and Judy Schwartz, Paul Gitnik and Gene Svrcek, Angela Grimm, Dan Monaco of Chelsea’s Grille, Joe DiMatteo, Mary Lear, Colleen Czekaj, Jenna Kiragis, Kathe Patrinos, Pam Pearlman, Margie Stang, Mark and Ida Gleeson, Nancy Baum, Jeanne Caliguiri, and Nan Cohen.
