When: Saturday

Where: Twentieth Century Club

The Cause: More than 120 patrons supported the Opera Theater's Educational and Young Artist Programs, which raised roughly $35,000.

Everyone was talking about ... Guerrilla Opera. Pittsburghers, get ready. The opera is coming to a neighborhood bar near you. "The idea is like having a flash mob performance," said event chair James Cassaro. "Although I can't tell you which bars in the city it'll happen in, we are hoping to draw in new crowds to the opera with this guerrilla-style tactic," he added with a sly smile.

Moment to remember: Famed opera singer Anna Singer seduced the audience with her rendition of "Vilya" from "The Merry Widow," while singers Demareus Cooper, Benjamin Taylor and Kara Cornell joined her with a rousing version of "Puttin on the Ritz" which got the crowd on its feet.

Seen dancing: Mary Ann Cornetti, Dan and Carole L. Kamin, Eugene and Barbara Myers, Clement George, Benno and Connie Bernt, Steve and Gail Mosites, Mildred Miller Posvar, Marina Posvar, Lisa Posvar Rossi, James R. Sahovey, Dave Catanzaro, John and Virginia DiPucci, Hans and Leslie Fleischner, Stephen Hough and Nachum Golan, Timothy McVay and David Bush, David and Nancy Polinsky Johnson, Clyde Jones, Jeff and Sandy Inman, James Critchfield, and Harris Ferris.
