Only antiques can turn the patina of time and use into dollar signs. Just ask the dealers and collectors at Oakmont Country Club Friday night for the 10th annual Antiques Show preview party to benefit Kerr Memorial Museum. Twenty-five dealers including show manager Jack Squires set up shop at the club last weekend.
Nearly 200 guests roamed the stalls during the party chaired by Jan Shoop, Joan Stewart and Diana Thompson. The evening offered guests hors d’oeuvres, drinks and desserts while they bargained, bought and beamed at oil paintings, furniture, jewelry, silver, linens and more. The champagne toast was sponsored by Longwood at Oakmont. Enjoying the rare and beautiful were Jane and Harry Thompson, Kaaren Amodeo, Adeline Brown, Tim Murphy, Mike Lemak, Eileen Kopelman, Sara Horsman with Clarence Klaus Jr, Jan Wagner and Jimmy Dunn, Anne and David Genter, Jeanne and Dick Berdik, Moira Davison, Kathy and Len Stept, Martha Malinzak and Jane Foster.
