They literally put the "gay" in gala and made the first "Equality GaYla" to benefit the Delta Foundation and the LGBT community an evening to remember at Carnegie Music Hall Saturday. Having Bernadette Peters there to christen the event didn't hurt either. The party began with a VIP reception and dinner in which Lambda Foundation board members were honored. Honorary chairs Deborah Acklin, Romi Conaboy and Michael Agins circulated during cocktails along with event chairs Craig McDonald (with Dan Catanzaro) and Sam Badger. The belle of Broadway opened her concert with "Let Me Entertain You," and did she ever for 75 minutes, much to the delight of the nearly 500 who gave her a standing ovation.

Among them were board president Gary Van Horn, Cultural Trust's Kevin McMahon, Richard Parsakian, Hugh McGough, Deb and Dan Frankel, Kris Rust, Libby Hewett and Pierina Morelli, Johnny Van DeGrift, Larry Leahy, Karla Boos, Doug Nolder, Christine Bryan and Philip Ferland
