Multi-Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole helped more than 500 guests see why she's a star during "Open Your Eyes to the Stars," the 26th annual benefit for Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force Wednesday night.

Her performance rocked the O'Reilly Theater to the rafters and had everyone saying "Amen " to her gospel-style cabaret. It also helped bring awareness to the work of PATF. Two supporters who have twice chaired the event, Nachum Golan and Steve Hough, were this year's Kerry Stoner awardees.

Because of their efforts the nearly sold-out benefit raised more than $140,000. The pre-show reception on all three levels of the theater had guests applying false eyelashes, hitting the photo booth or just mingling near the buffets.

Among those offering a standing ovation for a great show and super evening were Ted Pappas, PATF director Chuck Christen, board president Bart Rauluk, Bob Sendall, Tom Bedger, Jeff Pierce, Sam and Joanie Kamin, Dr. Elliott Kramer and Bill Modrak, Christopher Hahn, Pam and Ken McCrory, Barb Mendlowitz, Larry Leahy and previous Kerry Stoner awardee Richard Rauh.
