This is the exciting start of our training for the MS 150 Keystone Ride, which will take place July 18-19 in Central Pennsylvania. This week we will go on our first outdoor ride together. We will have a map of the ride, along with some ride notes, for you to follow along. Also, please ask any questions that you may have along the way. Additionally, I will have an indoor ride prepared for you in Friday’s online post so that you can keep “moving” even in the bad weather.
Our schedule for publishing online this week is:
Tuesday: Coach's Letter
Wednesday: Registered dietitian
Thursday: Where to run, bike and swim
Friday: There and back & The Playlist
Please go online and read the full articles daily at http://communityvoices.post-gazette.com/arts-entertainment-living/wellness-n-at/cycling. — Joe Stabile
THE PLAN
All of the training plans will be customized via Ride Journal, a program used by Cycle Fusion in Oakmont.
Please go into our current blog post to get your code to begin using Ride Journal for free through July 2015.
COACH GINO’S LETTER
This week we discuss the importance of "base building" and what it means to use a "staged" training plan. We also will provide you with a link to the training plan's first outdoor ride in the Pittsburgh area. — Gene Nacey
