Randita’s Organic Vegan Cafe food truck is a smallish, zero-emission, solar-powered vehicle with signs that say “GMO Free” and “Before you eat think.” I enjoyed the strawberry smoothie, which wasn’t too sweet, and the floating strawberry seeds testified to its freshness. At $6, it’s a little pricey for its size.
I’m not a wrap lover but the Hot Sausage Wrap ($8) caught my eye. It’s veggies and meatless sausage inside a brown tortilla. I asked for lemon tahini sauce, which drowned out the individual flavors of the vegetables. The sausage was dry, and the heat from the sauce made the veggies a little too close to limp.
