Sometimes the best collaborations come from the least predictable pairs.

The latest example: "New Girl" star Zooey Deschanel has teamed with Tommy Hilfiger for a capsule collection of apparel, jewelry and handbags called "To Tommy, From Zooey."

Designs incorporate Ms. Deschanel's 1960s-flavored style with a contemporary flair for clothes and accessories the actress has coined as "modical."

"This collection is an eclectic, vintage-inspired blend of Zooey's personal style and the essentials of the American preppy look that served as the starting point for the brand's signature style," Mr. Hilfiger said in a statement.

His brand also bares its mark on the collection through a red, white and blue color palette.

The 16 dresses range from $98 to $199. Fourteen of them are available in 200 Macy's stores. The complete collection will launch next Monday on tommy.com and in Tommy Hilfiger anchor and specialty stores in North America, Europe, Mexico and Japan.
