Some apparel is as American as baseball, Route 66 and apple pie.
Enter Levi's 501 jeans, which have helped generations of people, American or not, look effortlessly fashionable since 1837.
To commemorate the pants' 140th anniversary, the brand has released a limited edition book, "501 Interpretations," in which musicians, magazine editors, fashion notables and more model the denim duds in ways that reflect their personal style. Photographer Francesco Carrozzini shot the celebrities, including designer Rachel Roy, actor Alan Cumming, Elle creative director Joe Zee and global rap star with Pittsburgh roots Wiz Khalifa.
The book is $55 at select Levi's stores and at www.levi.com.fashion
