Teen petitions Seventeen magazine -- "I want to see regular girls that look like me": Fourteen-year-old Julia Bluhm is tired of seeing on newsstands photographs spotlighting skinny bodies and blemish-free faces -- and she's determined to change it. The blogger for SPARK Movement, which targets the sexualization of females in the media, has started a petition urging the magazine to publish one digitally unaltered photo spread per issue.

"I know how hurtful these photoshopped images can be. I'm a teenage girl, and I don't like what I see," she wrote in a description of her mission posted at www.change.org, which is where people can go to read and electronically sign the petition. So far, more than 50,000 signatures have been collected.

If Seventeen magazine honors her request, it will be following in the footsteps of other publications, such as Glamour, which have recently decided to limit the number of airbrushed photos it features.
