Inside out: Overbrook abuts the city neighborhoods of Brookline and Carrick as well as the boroughs of Castle Shannon and Whitehall. Overbrook was one of the last boroughs annexed into the city of Pittsburgh. Just 0.83 square miles, the borough originally called Fairhaven took its current name when it broke away from Baldwin Township.
In addition to tree-lined streets, Overbrook boasts links to both the South Busway and light rail. In Phillips and Brookline parks offer youth sports and plenty of green space for recreation.
