Leech Tishman elected Ericson P. Kimbel as a partner, construction and litigation practice groups. He focuses his practice on construction litigation, arbitration and mediation, representing contractors, design-builders, owners, and construction managers on both public and private projects.
K&L Gates LLP has elected the following seven lawyers to the firm's partnership, effective March 1: Scott Bowan, Ellen Freeman, Cordy Glenn Grabiak, Jared Hawk, Brittany Powell, Nicholas Ranjan and Michael Ross.
A member of the firm's insurance coverage practice, Mr. Bowan focuses on complex commercial litigation and appellate matters. Ms. Freeman advises on employment-based immigration matters. Mr. Grabiak represents tax-exempt organizations and nonprofit institutions on various tax-related issues. An energy lawyer, Mr. Hawk represents clients in oil and gas litigation, product liability litigation, and complex commercial litigation. Ms. Powell's employee-benefits practice focuses on corporate and transactional matters, including those involving employee stock ownership plans.
Mr. Ranjan advises on complex commercial disputes and commercial litigation, and Mr. Ross focuses his practice in product liability and toxic tort litigation.
Dinsmore said that Anthony Ditka was named managing partner of its Pittsburgh office. Mr. Ditka, who will oversee 21 attorneys and 13 professionals, assumes the position from James Zeszutek, who has helped the office grow from three attorneys since taking over as managing partner in Pittsburgh. Mr. Ditka has been practicing municipal finance law for 14 years, focusing his practice on tax-exempt financing of municipal projects, including schools, municipal buildings and recreational facilities. He earned his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law.
Mr. Zeszutek, who left his post as chairman of Thorp Reed & Armstrong LLP's complex litigation group to form Dinsmore's first Pennsylvania office in 2002, will remain active within the firm as a partner.
Attorneys Tess Harper and Fallon Stephenson have joined Blumling & Gusky, LLP. Ms. Harper joins as an associate representing closely-held businesses and high-net worth individuals involved in the acquisition and disposition of business entities, business assets and commercial real estate on a global basis. She received her Master of Laws degree in taxation from New York University School of Law, and her practice also includes tax planning and litigation, partnerships and corporations. Ms. Stephenson joins as an associate practicing in construction and commercial litigation. She received her J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law.
