Peacock Keller announced that Eva P. Hershey has joined its firm as an associate. Ms. Hershey concentrates her practice in estate planning and estate administration. Her previous experience includes general civil law, juvenile dependency, family law and criminal law. Prior to joining Peacock Keller, Ms. Hershey worked as a trust officer with PNC Financial Services, and she also served as a law clerk for the late Washington County Common Pleas Judge Mark Mascara. Ms. Hershey is a graduate of Duquesne University School of Law and earned her undergraduate degree from Lehigh University, where she studied earth and environmental science and economics.

Goehring, Rutter & Boehm said John J. Richardson joined its firm. Mr. Richardson will strengthen its product liability and commercial practice areas. He earned his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

Meyer, Unkovic & Scott said Sandy Rhodes Svoboda has joined its firm as marketing director. Before coming to Meyer, Unkovic & Scott, Ms. Svoboda worked as associate director of marketing at Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, where she oversaw firm-wide marketing activities for 11 offices and all practice groups. Ms. Svoboda attended the University of Pittsburgh, receiving a degree in communications.

Wayman, Irvin and McAuley said that Jonathan M. Gesk has been chosen for inclusion on the 2012 "Pennsylvania Rising Stars" list, an honor reserved for those lawyers who have shown excellence in practice.

Beck & Thomas, P.C., said that Best Lawyers has named Paul Beck as Pittsburgh's "Best Patent Law Lawyer of the Year" for 2012. Mr. Beck is a member of the firm's patent litigation group. He graduated from Duquesne University School of Law and received his undergraduate degree from Carnegie Mellon University, in electrical engineering.

John (Jack) P. Goodrich, formerly of Goodrich & Goodrich, PC, announced the launch of his new firm, Goodrich & Associates, P.C. Mr. Goodrich and his associates will remain at 429 Fourth Ave., The Law & Finance Building, Suite 900, Downtown. Mr. Goodrich will continue to concentrate his practice in the areas of head trauma and concussions, personal injury, vehicular accidents, product liability, wrongful deaths, workers' compensation, and wills and estates.

Zimmer Kunz, PLLC announced that members George Stewart and Joseph Selep have again been selected as Pennsylvania Super Lawyers, and director Joseph Butcher has again been recognized as a "Pennsylvania Rising Star." For Mr. Stewart and Mr. Selep, this is the fourth year in a row that they have been recognized as top civil litigation defense attorneys.

Mr. Butcher is being recognized as a Rising Star in the general litigation practice area for the third year in a row.

Mr. Gilkey, Mr. Lucas and Mr. Shepard were also named by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers as "Top 50" Pittsburgh lawyers.
