Howard Hanna Real Estate Services honored its top sales associates at their annual company gala last month at the Pittsburgh Hilton and Towers.

The following sales associates were honored as the Very Best of the Best for 2000. In order to qualify, a sales associate must be in the top 1 percent in sales production for the entire company.

Very Best of the Best: Ral Merchant, Commercial; Roz Neiman, Shadyside; Betty Moraca, Sewickley; Darra Eberle, Treesdale; Deb Levy, North Suburban; Deborah Kane, East Suburban; Jill Bolnar, Squirrel Hill; Bob Fox, West Suburban; Darlene Hunter, Nevillewood; Mary Eve Kearns, Peters Township; and Cindy Sunseri, Mt. Lebanon.

In addition, Fox was honored for having the most total units sold and listed for the year 2000 with 102. He was also co-winner of the One Team One Dream award, given to the associate who best utilizes all of Howard Hanna's services. He was also co-winner of the following: Barristers Land Abstract Title Company Referral Leader, Howard Hanna Financial Referral Leader and the Home Warranty Referral Leader.

Fox has been the top sales leader in his office for five consecutive years and was recently awarded a Platinum Award for Sales Excellence by the Andron Epiphanon Fraternity for the fifth consecutive year.

Monice Ming Tong, Lucy Skeels and Ivy Li have joined Keller Williams Realty.

Tong, formerly of Northwood, is a multimillion dollar producer and frequent recipient of the Sales Excellence award given by the Realtors Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh. She will work in the North office.

Skeels is a former Howard Hanna agent and a 20-year veteran of the industry. She is very active in the North and West Hills area.

Li, formerly with Northwood, specializes in the Pittsburgh market.

Julie Vugrinovich, a sales associate with Howard Hanna Real Estate Services Howland office, has been elected to serve on the board of the Warren Board of Realtors.

She has been a sales associate with Howard Hanna for three years. She is a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Ohio Association of Realtors. She resides in Cortland.

Don Seaton of RE/MAX North was honored with the Platinum Club Award at the company's annual awards banquet. The award is given to associates who rank among the highest in sales commissions in the RE/MAX system across the country. Seaton has been a real estate professional for the past 24 years in Pittsburgh.

The Greater East End Multi-List has announced its board of directors.

Irv Younger of Harris Realty is president, Marce Schwartz of Prudential Preferred Realty is vice president, Pamela McIver of Lavelle Real Estate is secretary and Ruth Rothman of RE/MAX Realty Brokers is treasurer.

Other board members are Jo Freedman of Northwood Realty Co./Better Homes & Gardens, Jack Hoffmann of C.J. Hoffman Agency and Tom Yargo of Coldwell Banker Real Estate.

Deborah Kane of Howard Hanna Real Estate Services East suburban office was named as the group's top sales winner for the third consecutive year.

Judy Schlosberg was the top sales associate for the year 2000 in the Howard Hanna Real Estate Services Monroeville office. She had a closed sales and listing volume of 44 units and total closed sales and listing volume of more than $7 million.

Judy has 22 years of real estate experience and has been the Monroeville office leader for 17 of her 18 years with the company. Originally from Romania, Judy specializes in servicing Monroeville, Murrysville, Penn Township, Plum, Penn Hills and Churchill. She is a member of the Realtors Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh.

She has won numerous awards and honors, including Howard Hanna's President's Circle of Excellence Club, which honors associates who have amassed 500 units sold or $50 million in closed sales in their career. *

David W. Auel, president of Griffon Realty Inc., was named chairman of the Commercial Investment Division of Realtors Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh.

Century 21 Access Real Estate honored Georgie Smigel of Harmony as the firm's top producing sales agent for 2000. Smigel closed on more than $15.5 million in sales volume.

Smigel, who ranks in the top 1 percent of Century 21 agents worldwide, has worked for the company for 11 years.

Janine Guthrie of Keller Williams Realty has been awarded the accredited buyer representation designation by the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council Inc. of the National Association of Realtors.

Theresa R. Cragan of Everett has joined West Real Estate's staff as a sales associate at its Bedford County office.

Cottrill Real Estate announced at the company's annual awards banquet the following awards:

Debbie Berkich was named Sales Associate of the year, leading the company in listings and sales. She also won the Sales Excellence award from the Realtors Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh.

Lisa Martin was awarded the Rookie of the Year. After receiving her license in late fall, she participated in six transactions in only two months.

Other agents recognized were Sue Schmitz, Joe Hirsch and George Winovich.
